In the city centre this is where the body of Dick Turpin was kept after his death. In Castlegate, just 30 seconds walk from Cliffords Tower, the Little John mixes the history and mystique of Olde York with the bubbling atmosphere of the city centre. Formerly called the Robin Hood - but in Dick Turpins days and back to 1730 was known as the Blue Boar.

Happy Hours 7-9 pm Sun - Thurs £1.30 on selected bottles and pints. Food is served all day from 12 noon.
