Being a franchise eatery this place can be a bit hit and miss. When it first opened it was consistently excellent but with the inevitable churn of staff they've had a few off days. Generally though the food and service are excellent. The atmosphere is great, if you like that kind of thing and yo're guaranteed to pick up some Italian in the toilets - it's not as bad as it sounds :) Rating: 80%

F & B produce one of the worst burgers ever, it is like eating cardboard and is extremely debateable if it is 100% meat, as there appears to be a high content of Rusk. They need to operate a quality control. Rating: 5%

we had jacket potato skins to start with cheese and bacon, he had the black and bliue burger, i had the fishcakes, his with fries, mine with f&b potatoes, eveything was fantastic, hot, comforting and well priced. Pudding was chocolate sundae for him and apple pie for me and we couldn't have made better choices, me favourite restaurant! Rating: 95%

Always packed and noisy (then again there's only the Flying Legends to compete with it at Clifton Moor and I wouldn't send my worst enemy there), and the piped music is a bit intrusive and naff, but the quantity and quality of the food (essentially American/Italian comfort eating) make up for it. Sure, it's mass-produced franchised stuff, but of its kind it's probably the best in town and the friendliness of the staff makes up for the occasional long waits. Excellent chicken and ribs, in particular, although the desserts tend to be sickly-sweet and a bit much for me. Rating: 80%
